The purpose of these seminars is to increase the knowledge of SUDI to achieve Mokopuna Ora. They build on existing SUDI knowledge and expertise and will provide a forum to share innovative ideas about supporting hapu mama stop smoking in pregnancy, encourage breastfeeding and practice safe sleeping.
We extend this invitation to whānau, community members and the workforce – anyone who works in, or is passionate about, child health, well-being and strengthening leadership in SUDI.
Presentations will include keynote speakers and breakout streams exploring the themes of Innovation, Social Determinants and Communicating with Whānau, The day will conclude with a panel discussion.
Register online, but numbers are limited. There is a small attendance fee for those in paid employment. Whānau and community are free.
The seminars will be held in Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Whanganui, Tairāwhiti and Wellington.

SUDI Online Workshop
The SUDI workshop contains all of the key information that families need to know about keeping baby protected from SUDI. It is filled with video clips, links to research articles and other support that families can access. It is currently going through the accreditation process which when completed will count as workforce development training for the health workforce.
