Breast feeding
• Lullaby He Waiora te Wai U
A special lullaby for breast feeding mums and their whanau. This song can be sung or played to baby as mother and child bond in breast feeding. The lullaby acknowledges the nutritional and health benefits of breast feeding for mother and baby, encouraging baby to latch on as the love flows between mother and child.
Tēnei rā tō māmā e
Awhiawhi mai
Ki a koe taku pepe
Whāngai i te wai
He waiora te wai ū
Rere atu rā
Ki a koe taku pepe
Kaingia kia ora ai
This is your mother
Embracing you
My precious baby
Nurturing you with nourishment
Sharing the benefits of breast feeding
Flowing to you
My beloved baby
So latch on and always be well
